I was hoping to be able to be at the funeral for Mr. Steve however I will be out of town leaving Thursday moring. I wish I could be there. Please know that I will be praying for you all and love you all~~ You will be in my thoughts.
Much love,
Julie Houston
It is so hard to know exactly what to say except that you are in our prayers are you have been since Mr. Steve was first in the hospital. Know that many people have had their walk of faith strengthened by Mr. Steve's journey and that of your family as well!
Dear Mrs. Deichert and Kim,
I am soo incredibly sorry for your loss and don't really know what to say to comfort you all during this terrible time. I am so happy for the Hope of heaven and knowing that Mr. Deichert is in heaven with Jesus and in no more pain! I wanted to call but I am sure you are terribly busy right now so I will try and call soon. Kim, I love you and hurt for you right now. i can't imagine what you are going through! I love you and wish i could give you a big hug right now!! I love you too Mrs. Deichert and want to hug you too!
I'm so very glad that we serve the God of all comfort, because we as humans feel so inadequate in times like this. Any comfort we may offer just doesn't seem like it's enough. Doug and I are so very sad. Steve was such an incredible person and a great friend to us. We have a picture of him at one of the church picnics in his apron, kicking up his heels. What a character! We will cherish the picture and we treasure our memories of him.
Love to you all...and you're still in our prayers,
Tria and Doug
Dearest Janice, Kimberly, Kevin, all your lovely girls and son,
Thankyou for sharing this journey with us. The blogs of this past week and final day brought to us so many beautiful pictures.
We are grateful to have known and worked with Steve. WOW, what an example to carry with us the rest of our days. Our hearts reach up to the Lord for you.
Benjamin knew as soon as the phone rang that Steve was Home. I told him that Steve had been a man of his word and worked hard. The boys have each been touched by his life. Oh, that the Lord would raise up more men like Mr. Steve.
The Bright family sent their love. Brandon was very sad because Steve was so kind to him. He was only comforted when he remembered that Steve is with his Pop and will be there to meet him when he's called Home.
Loving and Praying, linda
Thank you Father for Mr. Steve and his family. Thank you for creating their hearts that are so willing to follow and obey you, looking towards the things that are eternal. May each of us remember the example left to us of what it means to follow Christ no matter what the cost. I thank God for such a wonderful example- even if I did not recognize it until it was almost to late. Thank you Mr. Steve for loving us just the way we were. Thank you for being there for us at so many crucial moments in our young lives- for making a positive impact in my life, one that I hope I will be able to live out myself with the help of my Heavenly Father, my Jesus and the supply of the Holy Spirit. Father, forgive us and have mercy on us for your name's sake. You know how to take care of Mr. Steve's family. Do that for them, watching over them, leading them in the power of your Holy Spirit confirming and reconfirming as much as needed. Open their eyes to see your wonderful glory in all of this and shine your light in the midst of their pain and darkness, being light round about them. Be their God, their Father, their Shepherd, King and Lord over all this right now. In Jesus' name I pray and ask.
last post by Laura Milcarzyk. I love you Father and thank you again for your mercy and grace being sufficient for them in all of this.
Love you all...
I'm going to call you tonight...(I hope)...I so wish I could be there Friday, but I will be praying for all of you at 11:00.
We embrace you tenderly with our thoughts and prayers during this time as we ponder, even through the sorrow, the eternal glory that has dawned for Mr. Steve.
"May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your heart and strengthen you." 2Thessalonians 2:16
The King Family
Kim,
I have been praying and will continue to pray for you and your family.

Hello Kimberly. This is Bubba from way back at Sandy Cove. I was encouraged by your writing about your dad's homegoing. I am sorry that I did not find your blog sooner. You see, I started my own blog for my mother's journey to receive a liver transplant back in July (www.rhebaann.blogspot.com). She went in for her transplant on September 4th. Their were complications and she went home to be with Jesus during Surgery. As I kept people updated on the blog, I found comfort in being able to keep everyone connected. I also found strength from the wonderful comments left.
So, be strong and take courage. May the peace of God fil your heart and all of your family. May we rejoice in knowing that your Dad is whole and that we will see him again one day. I will be praying for you all.
Janice, Kim, Kevin and all,
As so many have said, there are no words to comfort - except His. He is the God of comfort and will hold you. Steve was one of a kind and will be missed but the lives he touched for eternity will go on - and touch many more. Thanks for sharing your journey - it is a testimony to God's faithfulness.
In His love,
Linda and Al Johnson
We love you and continue to pray for all of you. The Harkers
