no change...no problems..

Good morning...Dad is the same this morning...Mom just talked with the nurse on the phone to give us all a little update. He is still having blood pressure issues; so they are still trying to work that out.

Yesterday I spoke with the nurse about his foot; and I had mentioned that he had Mersa, and evidently the hospital didn't know that. So because he has had Mersa in the past, as a percaution, they are isolating his room; and requiring gown and gloves, etc to see him. So this will definitly limit visitors....

Anyway....just thought I'd let you know where we are at...

Off to church then the hosptial...

Hi Kim,
Just wanted to inform you in regards to MRSA (methacillin Resistant Staph Auerus)infections. Once a patient has a History of MRSA, and they are admitted to the hospital, we have a protocol to do surviellance cultures. Which consists of swabbing the both the nares (nose), and Axilla (underarms), and left and right groin areas. Sending them off to the Lab to check for a current infection. I hope that helps you. It's good to see all the positive signs your Dad is doing. I just loved when you shared with all of us, about reading the Daily Bread and Scripture reading to your Dad, and the affects it had on his body. He is truly a FIGHTER!! God has blessed you and your family. Praying for a miraculous recovery!!! Love, Marcy and Family

Hi Kim and Janice,
We are amazed by the strong positive improvements that MR. STEVE is making. It's wonderful that he is off of the vent, and breathing on his own. We are so thrilled that the tracheotomy and peg tube procedures went very well, praise the Lord!! It's so exciting what Mr. Steve has done and continues to do. It's only been 1 week. Can't wait to see what happens this week. We are continuing to pray for his eyes to heal so he will be able to open them, that will be a very special day for both of you. Love you, Marcy and Family
