Waiting for a bed...

Thank you all for such sweet comments in response to my last post. Things are definitely improving all around and I'm very grateful to be where we are today from FOUR weeks ago!

It has been a month since this has begun and the impossible is becoming reality.

Dad has been moving around a lot today in bed. His head is still killing him. Mom actually put her hand on his head and could feel the thumping! So you know it cannot feel good if we can feel it on the outside!

He has continued to ask to go home; but overall, he said that today was better than yesterday. I told him over and over again that he has to get strong so we can go to Disney World! And he said "OK!" (We have a family vacation planned in October so we are hoping the WHOLE family gets to go!)

At this point, Dad is OK to move to rehab. We are only waiting on a bed. Once a bed becomes available Dad will be heading there! Whenever I leave town for a day or two he moves hospitals; and I have to go to a wedding this weekend, so he will probably be moved;)

Thank you for your continued support!

Pray for Kevin & family as they head back to Ohio in the morning!

Lord God, OUR FATHER who art IN HEAVEN, HOLLOWED BE THY NAME, BLESSED BE YOUR NAME IN ALL THINGS, that YOU MAY HAVE THE PREEMINENCE IN ALL THINGS. Search our hearts to know you. We submit to you in our weakness', in our inability to help ourselves, let alone anyone else! Let it be your power, your grace, your strength, that comes through as we humble ourselves under your mighty hand through these sufferings, that your power and your grace will be seen in us through these times so that you will be glorified in our bodies. Help Mr. Steve. Father, be glorified in his eyes, so he will love you even more, see your glory, in JESUS' name, we ask you to comfort our friend Steve. Comfort him in JESUS' name we ask you to uphold him with your right hand. Put your hands all over him to comfort him, in the name of Jesus let him feel your love surrounding him, ministering to him in Jesus' name we ask that you will be glorified in his redemtive healing. Now to Him who can do above all that we can ask or think to him be the glory and honor and praise. Thank you my dear heavenly Father for hearing us. Thank you for changing us, molding us, conforming us to the image of your dear Son that we may know the fellowship of his sufferings and the POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION. Without the suffering we can't know the power of his resurrection. Thank you for loving the Deicherts this way. thank you for loving me this way. Thank you for loving the Weltes this way. Help us to stay focused on your purpose to glorify your name in all these things. IN Jesus' name we pray and ask. Amen. Laura (Ellis) Milcarzyk

I will be praying for a bed to reopen fast. Your Dad is a strong man and God is going to see him through this. I was reading your post from yesterday and I totally know what you are going through. I would have rather taken the pain for Lindsay than watching her go through what she did. Keep incouraging him everyday. It's hard to stay strong while you are going through something like this but hold on to Jesus.
We love you all,
Laura
